Kitchen Update

This kitchen makeover used the same footprint and cabinetry. The update included painting the upper cabinets white and the lower cabinets gray.
Quartz countertops replaced the white tile, a luminescent backsplash was added, and the curtains were changed to a complementary roman valance.

Kitchen Remodel
​
This was a Mediterranean style kitchen that did not reflect the homeowner’s style. It had a nearly 9’ island that was not functionally sound. The seating backed up to the stove causing a potential safety hazard and the size created traffic flow issues. The kitchen was totally gutted; the cabinet style changed to a more traditional style and color; the island was shortened to 4’ to allow for food prep; and a 7’ peninsula for dining was added in a more compatible location. Quartz replaced the dated granite counter tops; glass tile replaced the travertine backsplash; and a new range hood was installed, which became the focal point for the kitchen. Other changes included building walls around the refrigerator to give it a built-in look and adding a wine fridge.

All White Kitchen
The homeowner wanted an all-white kitchen that showcased her colorful china collections. The changes included painting the cabinets white, installing all new white appliances, and adding a pastel glass backsplash. The cabinets were then filled to display her heirloom and personal collections of china.
